Pastor Adewale Kukoyi: A change maker takes over at GT RCCG

Pastor Adewale Kukoyi, who was officially posted to the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Glory Tabernacle Zone, Asokoro with effect from September 1, 2024, has already made his mark as the pastor in charge of the zone. He works like a man who is under pressure to redeem his time in both his spiritual and secular jobs. And he has tremendous respect for people whom he comes across and works with daily to improve the spiritual and physical landscape in which the church operates. He is also succeeding with evident results showing on all sides.

Although he arrived GT only in September and went straight to work, there is measurable evidence to validate that Pastor Kukoyi is a man dedicated to hard work, industry and raw commitment to the service of God and humanity. He does not waiver in that regard and has not shown any sign of slowing down. When he arrived GT in September, and met the church auditorium under construction, he was bold enough to announce that the work would be substantially completed by December of 2024. Today, the church is a beauty to behold due to the speed, innovations and aesthetics he has introduced into the building. And, the congregation is loving both the speed and the quality of work he has done.
Pastor Kukoyi, who arrived GT with his wife, Grace and three sons, is pressing on with more ideas to give GT a new image and register its name as place to be reckoned with in the annals of RCCG.

Pastor Kukoyi, who was born in Mushin Local Government Area of Lagos on June 27, 1969, is of Ogun State origin and completed his secondary school in 1986.
His quest for higher education took him to the famous Yaba College of Technology where he bagged a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting in 1996. By dint of hard work and professionalism, he became a Certified National Accountant (CNA) in 2010 and became a Fellow Certified National Accountant (FCNA) in 2021.

Although he is pastoring in God’s vineyard as a servant, Pastor Kukoyi is equally serving his country dutifully in a very strategic position of trust and responsibility. Having joined the civil service on January 1, 1991 and risen within the system due to his honesty and transparency, he is currently serving as a Treasury Staff at the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), where he serves as the Head of the Central Pay Office, managing the finances and accounts of the huge federal government agency successfully.

He joined RCCG in 1997 and became a worker in 1998 and has been serving in various capacities as a House Fellowship Leader, House Fellowship Coordinator, Sunday School Teacher, Evangelism Coordinator, Area Administrator, Area Ushers Coordinator and Prayer Band Member.

Following Kukoyi’s ordination as a deacon in 2003, he became an Assistant Pastor in 2012 and became a full pastor in 2017.

Pastor Kukoyi was the Pastor in charge of Tree of Righteousness Parish and Zone of the RCCG before he was posted to GT Asokoro in September 2024 and he combines the position with the Chairman of the Redeemed Men’s Fellowship in Province 3 and also coordinates the RMF in Region 46.
